Workers and members of the General Federation of Trade Unions of Korea met at the Central Hall of Workers on July 3 to hear stories about the virtues of President Kim Il Sung on the occasion of the 31st anniversary of his demise.
First, there was a recitation of the epic “Our Eternal Leader Comrade Kim Il Sung ” which highly praises the great life of the people’s leader who devoted his all to the country and the people, regarding it as his motto to believe in the people as in Heaven.
Kim Song Ho, vice-chairman of the Central Committee of the GFTUK, said that the warm love, trust and wise leadership of the President who glorified the life of the working class at the highest level were the key to making the GFTUK invariably follow the road of loyalty and patriotism.
Yun Song Hak, a worker of the Ryuwon Footwear Factory, told about the devotion of the President who made painstaking efforts to improve the people’s standard of living while visiting factories and farms, rain or shine.
Song Kum Sil, chairwoman of the primary trade union committee of the Mangyongdae Amusement Park Management Office, said that she could not forget the image of the benevolent President who chose the site of the amusement park in picturesque Mangyongdae.
Labour Hero Kim Myong Chol, a workshop head of the Sogu Public Building Construction Company, said that there is no person in the world like the President who lived at a simple house since the liberation of the country and allowed no privilege for himself but provided the people with homes of happiness.
Present at the meeting were Pak In Chol, chairman of the Central Committee of the GFTUK, officials of the trade union and workers and members of the trade union in Pyongyang.
