Enlarged Plenary Meetings of Party Committees of Ministries and National Agencies Held

Enlarged plenary meetings of the Workers’ Party of Korea’s committees of the Ministry of Railways, the Ministry of Land and Maritime Transport, the Pyongyang Construction Commission, the State Academy of Sciences, the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Physical Culture and Sports took place from July 3 to 9 to implement the decisions of the 12th Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the WPK.
Present at the plenary meetings were members and alternate members of the relevant Party committees. Also on hand were officials concerned as observers.
The meetings analyzed and reviewed the work in the first half of the year for implementing the decisions of the Eleventh Plenary Meeting of the Eighth WPK Central Committee and discussed the measures for unconditionally and thoroughly carrying out the tasks facing their sectors and units by making more courageous, effective and intensive efforts.
Reports were made at the meetings.
The plenary meetings analyzed and reviewed the successes and experience gained, and shortcomings and lessons revealed in implementing the decisions of the relevant Party committees in the first half of the year, and raised the tasks and ways facing the Party organizations at all levels in thoroughly carrying out the tasks for the second half of the year.
The meetings stressed the need for all Party organizations to improve their fighting efficiency and activities, further strengthen the Party discipline and improve the effectiveness of the ideological work, thus bringing about a substantial improvement in implementing the Party’s decisions.
Speeches were made at the meetings.
The meetings adopted decisions to ensure the thorough and perfect implementation of the policy tasks set forth by the 12th Plenary Meeting of the Eighth WPK Central Committee.
