The Nano-engineering Branch of the State Academy of Sciences has recently developed an advanced optical fibre cloth production line and introduced it into various production units.
Through painstaking research and repeated experiments, its research team newly confirmed the composition of an impregnant, the core of the project, and applied nano-technology to manufacture a high-performance impregnant.
The impregnant obtained a patent.
On this basis, the researchers built an automated spinning furnace capable of controlling the thickness of optical fibre at will and set up in a short span of time a line which can produce a large amount of optical fibre cloth per hour.
As a result, it laid a firm foundation for manufacturing various kinds of optical fibre reinforced plastic goods, which had been imported from abroad, with locally available raw materials.
Different kinds of optical fibre cloth pressure-type sand filter and insulating plates made with optical fibre reinforced plastics are being favourably commented by the units using them.
