In early August 2018 the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un visited the Kumsanpho Fish Pickling Factory.
On exchanging greetings with officials who received him, he said that the country had put the production of pickled fish on an industrial footing for the first time and asked them if they were confident about it.
After hearing their affirmative answer, he feasted his eyes on a panoramic view of the beautiful Kumsanpho area for a while.
The fish pickling factory built as the first of its kind in the country was closely associated with his meticulous leadership.
Earlier, in March 2015 and January 2017, he had visited the factory and said that it should be a model for developing the fish pickling culture of the Korean people and making a tangible contribution to improving the people’s livelihood.
At the general packing hall, he said that the pickled shrimps pouring out from the infuser looked like honey.
He continued stroking the pickled products in the storehouse: The piles of pickled products in the storehouse are quite a scene. When I inspected the Samchon Catfish Farm, I likened the blocks of frozen catfish piled in the low-temperature storeroom to gold ingots. I don’t know how to describe the pickled products piled to the ceiling of this storehouse.
All the officials exclaimed that it was really a wonderful scene.
Looking round them, he said: I am very pleased. We create new things to feel such a delight. This is just the worth of making the revolution. I feel relieved of accumulated fatigue at the thought that the products could contribute even a bit to improving the people’s dietary life.
