The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, General Secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea, President of the State Affairs and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, received a message of greetings from Thongloun Sisoulith, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party and President of the Lao People's Democratic Republic, on the 9th.
The message extended warm greetings to Kim Jong Un and through him to the Central Committee of the WPK and entire fraternal Korean people in the name of the Central Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, government of the Lao People's Democratic Republic and Lao people and the General Secretary on the occasion of the 77th founding anniversary of the DPRK, and continued:
As a close friend of the fraternal Korean people, we are very proud of and rejoiced over all the greater successes achieved by them in the past more than 70 years and firmly believe that the DPRK will continue to achieve successes in accomplishing the cause of building a powerful socialist country.
We will cooperate closely with Kim Jong Un in bring about substantial interests to the peoples of the two countries, defending peace and stability and achieving cooperation and development of the region and the world by further expanding and developing traditional friendly and cooperative relations between two parties, states and peoples of two countries of Laos and the DPRK with a long tradition.
The message wished Kim Jong Un good health and happiness, and new greater success in his noble and honourable work.
