A performance was given at the Ice Rink on September 9 to celebrate the 77th founding anniversary of the DPRK.
Among the audience were senior officials of the Party, government and armed forces organs including members of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, members of the central leadership body of the Party in Pyongyang, deputies to the Supreme People’s Assembly, officials of ministries and national agencies, labour innovators and meritorious persons invited to the celebrations of the 77th founding anniversary of the DPRK, teachers and students of revolutionary schools and citizens of Pyongyang.
Overseas Koreans staying in the socialist homeland enjoyed the performance.
Present there on invitation were diplomatic envoys and members of missions of different countries in the DPRK.
The performance was given by artistes of art organizations at all levels, students of art education institutions, ice skaters and schoolchildren.
The performers presented a vivid performance by newly creating and depicting ice dancing and figure skating in artistic harmony with songs of patriotism and loyalty presented by the people to the motherland and songs praising socialism.
The performers paid tribute to the DPRK with a 70-odd-long history, enthusiastically singing the famous songs including odes to motherland “Song of the Proclamation of the People’s Republic” and “The Glorious Motherland” which were born in the early years of nation building.
The performance reached its climax with famous songs of the new era which fully represent the desire to courageously advance for the high prestige and immortal glory of the DPRK.
The performance decorated the national day in a peculiar way.
