Amid the great heyday of construction on this land, new architectural groups of civilization reflecting the people’s dreams and ideals have mushroomed in all parts of the country.
Typical of them are large greenhouse farms in Ryonpho, Jungphyong and Kangdong, modern streets in the capital city such as Hwasong, Rimhung and Jonwi, Pyongyang General Hospital and Wonsan Kalma Coastal Tourist Area.
These monumental structures remind people of the following story.
One day in 2017 the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un visited the remodelled Paektusan Institute of Architecture.
After acquainting himself with the reconstruction of the institute beyond recognition, he said with pleasure that the institute is a model and standard of design institutions in the country.
During his field guidance at the institute in July a year ago, he gave precious instructions on its renovation. And he examined the layout of its interior renovation several times and solved all problems arising in the modernization project one by one.
He said that the institute should go ahead of other design organs, and that its officials, designers, architects and researchers should keep a hold on the reins of the “steed” provided by the Party and make the flames of a leap forward flare up.
That day, he stressed that designers should fully reflect socialist civilization in the era of the Workers’ Party and the ideals and dreams of people in each dot and each line on their designs, under the slogan “Let all designers become patriotic artists!”
Designs should reflect the socialist civilization in the era of the Workers’ Party, the ideals and dreams of the people—this epitomizes the noble world of creation of Kim Jong Un who wants to provide the Korean people with the happiest life to be envied by others.
Today all the dreams and ideals of the Korean people are coming true under the care of Kim Jong Un who is devoting his all to hastening the bright future of the people while continuing the journey for them with the spirit of making selfless, devoted efforts for their good.
