In summer last year flash flood wreaked havoc on some parts of North Phyongan, Jagang and Ryanggang provinces in the DPRK.
The government took a measure to ensure that flood victims were moved to Pyongyang and stayed there until the rehabilitation work was finished. Among them were thousands of schoolchildren.
One day the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un visited the April 25 Hostel to learn about the preparations for education of the students from the stricken areas.
Temporary classrooms were arranged at the hostel, with a teaching task force comprising teachers from primary and middle schools and preschool institutions in Pyongyang put in place.
Kim Jong Un stopped by a classroom to see a demonstration lesson of primary school students. He put right a student’s writing position and talked unceremoniously to students in whispers, showing parental affection to them.
While explaining the Munsu Water Park on the banks of the Taedong River, the teacher promised to go to the park together with the students later.
Afterwards, not forgetting her promise, he saw to it that they went swimming in the park.
This is how the schoolchildren from the afflicted areas came to have a good time in the iconic water amusement facility.
