The recent 13th Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea reviewed the implementation of the Party and government policies in 2025 and discussed the issues related to the preparations for the Ninth Party Congress.

This year the Korean people have made remarkable achievements in their efforts to work towards the overall development of socialism under the wise leadership of the Party.

The major industrial sectors of the national economy have carried out their highly-set production plans, the agricultural sector has recorded higher grain yields than last year, and a lot of major construction projects have successfully been completed, with this year’s economic development goals and the five-year plan fulfilled.

Besides, the projects for modernizing major economic sectors and reinforcing technical infrastructure have reached the final stage, providing possibility and guarantee for confidently entering into the fulfilment of the long-term goals for the next stage.

What is noticeable in this year’s success is that proud results have been achieved in realizing the ideal and wellbeing of the people and a simultaneous development of the state has been demonstrated to the full by launching and completing within this year the projects specified in the regional development policy.

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un told the plenary meeting that 2025 is, indeed, a historic year of great turn that broke through the last line in carrying out the five-year plan with confidence and in the dynamic spirit of advance for comprehensive development and charged the motive power for vigorously going over to a new stage.

He called for putting more spurs to the daring and offensive fighting spirit and dynamically advancing to a new phase of change with the great pride and honour of having turned the past five years into a great pioneering period of comprehensive rejuvenation.

At present, different economic sectors and units are taking bigger strides to greet the upcoming Ninth Party Congress as a glorious event of victors.

All the sectors are exactly working out their next-stage goals and seeking scientific and realistic ways to attain them.

Efforts are being directed to completing the ongoing construction projects at the highest level, making good preparations across the country for continued building of regional-industry factories, and getting all ready for next year’s farming in the agricultural sector.

It is the tradition of the Korean people to significantly greet the Party congress, a turning point in the development of the Korean revolution, with tangible achievements.

With greater confidence in and courage for their cause and the future of their struggle, they are all out to carve out their future by dint of their unique mode of struggle and the might of self-sustenance.
