Therespected General Secretary Kim Jong Un called on the Junghung Farm onhis visit to the city of Samjiyon, which turned into an excellent standard ofmodern mountain town, on a November day in 2021.
Afterexchanging greetings with the officials who came to meet him, he said lovinglythat he came to see farmers who would be happy upon moving into new houses thatday.
Farmvillages in the city including the one of the Junghung Farm have been built asbefitting those of a socialist country and it can be said that they passed atest as they are liked by all farmers, he said, adding that the farm villagesnewly built in the city are the model of farm villages that we are going to setup across the country.
Untilthen, however, the officials did not yet know his inmost thoughts.
Thatday, the General Secretary said:
Thevillage in the seat of Junghung-ri is a model farm village and an exemplar ofrural development. It is the decision of the Workers’ Party of Korea to buildfarm villages at such a level not only in the city of Samjiyon, but also in allother parts of the country.
Wemust build all the farm villages throughout the country at the level of the onein the seat of Junghung-ri. It is not a pipe dream, but our fighting task andgoal. This is what we should do in our generation without fail.

As hehas the iron will to provide the people with eternal wealth and conditions fora happier life despite difficulties and ordeals, the General Secretaryexpressed the firm resolve to completely transform all the rural communitiesacross the country, not confined to those in the city of Samjiyon.
