Kim Jong Un , general secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea and president of the State Affairs of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, received a message of greeting from D. Medvedev, president of the United Russia Party, on February 23.
The message said:
Respected Comrade Kim Jong Un ,
I extend my heartfelt congratulations to you on your reelection to the top post of the general secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea.
This decision clearly proves your absolute political authority and the unity of your Party led by you.
The Workers’ Party of Korea, the genuine embodiment of the will of the people, has achieved significant results in carrying out the cause of the DPRK’s development and made great successes in the work for strengthening the sovereignty and defence capabilities of the country under your leadership.
I am pleased to note that the cooperation between the United Russia Party and the Workers’ Party of Korea is taking a special place in the relations between the two countries.
I am convinced that the close cooperation between our two parties will continue to play a key role in promoting the development of the comprehensive strategic partnership between Moscow and Pyongyang.
