The working class and trade union members had a meeting to pledge to thoroughly implement the decisions made at the Fourth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea at the Hwanghae Iron and Steel Complex on January 11.
Present there were officials from the central and local trade unions and relevant sectors, and workers and trade union members of the Hwanghae Iron and Steel Complex.
Pak In Chol, chairman of the Central Committee of the General Federation of Trade Unions of Korea, delivered a report.
He said that the Fourth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth WPK Central Committee, at the proposal of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un , general secretary of the WPK, extended thanks in the name of the Party Central Committee to the exemplary agricultural officials, workers, scientists and technicians.
He stressed that the General Secretary, on behalf of the Party Central Committee, highly praised all the Party members and other working people across the country and service personnel of the People’s Army for glorifying last year as a year of proud victory to be specially recorded in the history of socialist construction, and sent warm greetings to them.
Today the working class and trade union members are faced with a weighty yet honourable task to provide a sure guarantee for implementing the five-year plan and bring about a remarkable change in the state’s development and the people’s standard of living by giving fresh spurs to the all-people grand march for the comprehensive development of socialist construction, he said.
Noting that they would surely emerge victorious as they uphold Kim Jong Un in the highest esteem, he ardently called on all officials, workers and trade union members to make vigorous efforts in order to glorify this year as a year of new victory along the road indicated by the Fourth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Party Central Committee.
