The Seventh Enlarged Plenary Meeting of the Ninth Central Committee of the Union of Agricultural Workers of Korea was held on July 5 through the videoconferencing.
It was attended by members and alternate members of the UAWK Central Committee.
Present there as observers were UAWK officials in the capital city of Pyongyang and other provinces.
The meeting discussed the issue of thoroughly implementing the resolutions of the Eighth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea and others.
Yun Chol, vice-chairman of the UAWK Central Committee, delivered a report.
The report reviewed the work of UAWK organizations for implementing the important tasks set forth at the sixth and seventh plenary meetings of the Eighth Central Committee of the WPK and referred to the tasks for UAWK organizations to attain without fail the grain production goal for this year.
The reporter called on all UAWK officials and members to keep in mind the intention of the Party which set the attainment of grain production goal as the first target of the 12 major goals for the national economic development, and make redoubled, devoted efforts to bring about radical changes in agricultural production this year.
Speeches were made.
The meeting adopted relevant resolutions with unanimous approbation after making studies and discussions of draft resolutions on the agenda items.
