New villages have been built at Sinjidong and Sinsong farms in Hoechang, a mountainous county in South Phyongan Province, to provide the agricultural workers with more cultured and affluent living conditions and environment.
The dramatic change in the farms is a precious fruition of the energetic leadership of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un who is bringing about Korean-style socialist rural civilization with his tireless devotion.
Present at the ceremony for moving into new houses were Kim Man Jo, secretary of the South Phyongan Provincial Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, and officials, builders and agricultural workers in Hoechang County.
Jang Myong Il, vice-chairman of the South Phyongan Provincial People's Committee, made an address there. Then house licences were conveyed and speeches made.
When moving into new houses began, the villages were wrapped in a festive mood with dancing of agricultural workers and inhabitants.
