The Hungnam Metal Works and the Komdok Mining Complex are building a springboard for increased production.
The Hungnam Metal Works has established a hard alloy production line of a new mode to improve the quality of bit head.
Key to the establishment of the new line was to manufacture a planetary ball crusher.
To this end, the factory worked out a relevant design, found out a rational processing method to make parts and accessories and brought the test run of the equipment with success. In addition, it made a magnetizing processor and realized the automatic temperature control of the vacuum induction furnace, sintering furnace and reduction furnace, thus finishing the project ahead of schedule.
The Komdok Mining Complex has renovated the ore conveying system.
In order to boost the ore conveying capacity while saving a great deal of manpower, equipment, raw materials and electricity, they had to change the conveying system.
But as it required workload as enormous as the building of a whole factory on the ground, it had been regarded for scores of years as impossible to carry it out by their own efforts.
“The renovation project would decide the future of the complex and the country’s ore output at large. So we had no other choice,” said Kim Chol, chief of the long-term planning section of the complex.
The complex completed such an effective design as to markedly reduce the investment and increase the output and adopted original and bold work methods, successfully finishing the assembly and installation of the complicated equipment.
