The Central Cadres Training School of the Workers’ Party of Korea is a “pedigree farm” for training Party cadres under the direct guidance of the Party Central Committee.

The school, which had been established in the early days of the Party founding on October 10, 1945 as the country’s first permanent school for training Party cadres, was newly built in the historic Kumsusan area of the capital city of Pyongyang, and opened on June 1 last year.

The school, with perfect appearance as befitting a prestigious revolutionary university training the backbone of the Party, is a priceless fruit of the noble intention of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un to usher in a heyday of Party building in the new era by giving definite precedence to training Party cadres over all other affairs.

Saying that building the Central Cadres Training School of the WPK well and training excellent Party officials is an overriding issue directly related to the long-term development of the Party and succession of the revolution, Kim Jong Un personally selected the site for the construction of the school and gave on-site guidance at the project on several occasions, energetically leading the work to turn it into the best university and a model of the educational sector.

Thanks to his guidance, the school was built magnificently in a little over a year after groundbreaking as a research centre for ideologically and theoretically supporting the Party in its building and activities and the highest institution for training revolutionaries whose political and modern character and practicality are ensured in an all-round way.

He attended the inauguration ceremony of the school on May 21, 2024 and made an important speech, titled “ Train Cadres of the Party in the New Era Who Are Faithful to the Ideal and Spirit of Its Founding .” And at the ceremony of opening the school, he made a congratulatory speech and personally handed the flag of the WPK over to the director of the school.

That day he saw the students attending the first lecture for in-service training, and went round different parts of the school, including administration building, library, and dining hall. He stressed the need for the school to raise the quality and cognitive effect of education while steadily improving its teaching contents and positively applying new forms and methods of teaching by introducing modern science and technology, as it has advanced educational system and a high level of educational conditions and environment.

He expressed belief that all the teaching staff and students of the school would firmly arm themselves with the Party’s red-flag idea, always mindful of the trust and expectation of the Party, and prepare themselves to be competent educators and distinguished political activists capable of skilfully applying the revolutionary theories and guiding methods specified in the Party-building programme in the new era to education and Party work.

The Central Cadres Training School of the WPK is more creditably discharging its duty as the glorious political school for training the backbone of and successors to the Party and demonstrating in every way the inexhaustible might peculiar to it in the struggle for strengthening of the whole Party and the victorious advance of the revolutionary cause of Juche.
