One day in September 2013 the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un inspected the renovated Pyongyang Indoor Stadium.
The builders decorated the ceiling of the stadium hall with metal plates to further brighten the interior and changed the flooring and seats with new ones.
Looking round various places of the stadium, he learned about the bounce of the floor and acoustics of the playground and said with satisfaction that any kind of international sports games could be held there.
On the day he said that the stadium should be used not only for sports games but also for political events including conferences and gave detailed instructions to this end.
Seeing the data showing the successes achieved by the country’s sportspersons, which were exhibited by sports events in the hall of each floor, he said that the visitors as well as the sportspersons would be pleased to see them and referred to the need to instal a signboard in the entrance and every floor and hang emblems and paintings related to sports and wall clocks on the walls.
And he paid close attention to the training and living conditions of the players.
After looking round the stadium for a long time, he said that the stadium with a long history had been wonderfully renovated to meet the demand of the new century.
Up to now, many important political events and sports contests have been successfully held in the stadium.
