The Ryugyong Mushroom Farm located in the suburbs of Pyongyang contributes to improving the people’s dietary life by mass-producing a variety of good species of mushrooms.
The farm is associated with the devotion shown by the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un to ensure sufficiency in the people’s life.
In January 2015, when he visited the newly-built farm (the then Pyongyang Municipal Mushroom Farm), he feasted his eyes on its panoramic view and said with pleasure that it was neatly built with the surrounding environment in good order.
So mindful of the people’s dietary life, he proposed building the farm and led the project to set an example for others across the country.
Thanks to this guidance, the farm could be built in a little over a year into a model of mushroom farms in the country, covering a total floor space of at least 9 560 square metres and equipped with the main production buildings and arched outdoor cultivation buildings.
Having looked round the control room, grafting room, cultivation room, substrate formation ground, outdoor cultivation ground and other places, he said that he was so pleased to see such a wonderful asset created for the people at the beginning of the year and that he would be greatly satisfied if 365 days of the year would be like this.
He clarified the orientation and ways for the farm, referring to the need to step up the study into substitute substrate and wrap up the automation and robotization of the production lines.
Before leaving, he warmly called on the officials to work harder taking the slogan “We serve the people!” as their motto.
