The Workers’ Party of Korea is a glorious party of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il .
The history of building the WPK into the leader’s party was started by Kim Jong Il . He developed the WPK founded by Kim Il Sung into a party boundlessly faithful to the latter’s idea and leadership under any conditions and circumstances.
By conducting energetic ideological and theoretical activities with his uncommon ideological and theoretical wisdom and inquiry, he defined Kim Il Sung ’s revolutionary idea as Kimilsungism and ensured that Kimilsungism further shines as a great ideology guiding the era of independence.
In the 1970s modelling the whole society on Kimilsungism was proclaimed as the supreme programme of the Party and the policy of modelling the entire Party on Kimilsungism was presented. This served as an occasion of decisive change in strengthening and developing the Party as the leader’s party.
In the course of modelling the entire Party on Kimilsungism, Party building and activities were conducted on the basis of the ideology, theory and method of Juche and Kim Il Sung ’s work method was thoroughly established across the Party.
As it held fast to strengthening the leader’s leadership at every stage of the revolution and construction as its lifeline, the Party could enjoy and demonstrate the great dignity and might as a promising party which embodies and carries forward the leader’s ideas and leadership generation after generation.
From the initial days when he began to lead the Party the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un paid primary attention to invariably carrying forward the ideas and cause of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il . He formulated their revolutionary ideas as Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism and proclaimed modelling the whole society on Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism as the supreme programme of the Party. And he developed the Party into the Party of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il both in name and reality.
The WPK is successfully achieving great social transformations by steadily maintaining its revolutionary character as the Party of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il and efficiently leading the revolution and construction.
