A meeting took place at the Central Youth Hall in the DPRK on December 3 to mark the International Day of Persons with Disabilities.
Present there were Jon Chol Hi, chairman of the Central Committee of the Korea Federation for the Protection of the Disabled, officials concerned, disabled persons and their families and working people in Pyongyang.
First, donation certificates were awarded to those who actively supported persons with disabilities, and a video dealing with the successes made in ensuring the rights of the disabled this year was shown.
Then, an artistic performance was given by the Korea Art Association of Persons with Disabilities to mark the International Day of Persons with Disabilities.
The performers represented their cheerfulness and vigour of bringing their hopes and talents into full bloom under the loving care and benevolence of the Workers’ Party of Korea.
Prior to the meeting, the participants looked round photos showing the life of the disabled who lead a happy life under the most advantageous socialist system of the country.
