One day in 2018 the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un visited the rebuilt Pyongyang Teachers Training College.
Looking round the room dedicated to the history of the college, educational science exhibition hall, education control room, multi-functional classroom and other places, he learned in detail about the reconstruction and modernization project and teaching and edification at the college.
In the educational science exhibition hall, he said that the officials and teachers of the college had done a lot of work and he highly appreciated them as they had set a good example in the drive to improve the contents and methods of teaching. In the education control room, on learning that the overall educational and scientific work of the college was controlled through an educational science and administration management system, he appreciated the efforts to orient all the educational and administrative work to enhancing the students’ enthusiasm for studying and improving their academic performance.
During his visit he stressed the need to put forward the college with fine educational conditions and environment as an example for all other educational institutions across the country to follow suit.
Man’s point of view and attitude greatly depend and build on what and how he is taught in his formative years in childhood, he said, adding that the Party attaches importance to teachers training colleges, the “pedigree farms” for the training of teachers in charge of education of children and, therefore, it made sure that great efforts were channelled into rebuilding and modernizing Pyongyang Teachers Training College. And he called on all provinces to learn from the example of the college to refurbish their own ones.
That day, giving valuable instructions to be served as guidelines for further developing Pyongyang Teachers Training College, he pointed out that the college should make a tangible contribution to strengthening the ranks of the teachers for kindergartens and primary schools by successfully training those who could lay solid foundations for the education of the younger generations.
