What the Party believes in most is the mental strength of the masses

It happened when the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un guided the SecondConference of Secretaries of Primary Committees of the Workers’ Party of Koreain February 2022.

Saying that the whole Party and all the people held great expectations about the conference, the second ofits kind in the history of the Party, he referred to thesignificance of the meeting convenedin the important period of the Korean revolution. Then he pointed to the needfor the secretaries of the primary Party committees to conduct energetic organizational and political activities to implement the decisions of the Eighth Congress of the Party and theplenary meeting of the Party Central Committee in order to achieve substantial successes before stressing as follows:

It is important to turn the struggle for implementing the Party’s decisionsinto the work of the masses themselves. In the present struggle to achieve a new victory in socialist construction, overcoming difficulties and trials, what our Party believes in most is the mental strength of the masses.

Looking at the secretaries of the primary Party committees filled with great excitement, the General Secretary said emphatically: No matter what correct decision the Party may adopt, it will remain as mere scraps of paper if the masses do not move. The secretaries of primary Partycommittees should make Party members and working people clearly understand that the Party’s policies are for them, that the implementation of the policies cannot be done by others and that only when each unit thoroughly implements the Party’s decisions can the affairs of the country go well and the people’s life become better.

He then instructed that the secretaries should make exact demandson the masses to always regard Party decisions as the standard and goal of their work and keep making strenuous efforts, reviewing daily what they have done to implement the decisions, and that they should develop the creative ability of the employees while discussing with them about innovative ways to develop their units.

That day, the secretaries of primary Party committees fully realized his iron will to do everything by giving full play to the mental strength of the masses of the people.
