DPRK players return home after taking part in ITTF Asian Para Championships 2025

DPRK players returned home onOctober 24 after taking part in the ITTF Asian Para Championships 2025 held inChina.
The championships broughttogether more than 400 players from 18 countries and regions including theDPRK, India, Kazakhstan and Malaysia. The DPRK players won two gold medals andone sliver medal.
Jon Ju Hyon took first placein the MS6. He defeated a Chinese player 3-0 in the quarter finals, a ROKplayer 3-0 in the semifinals and a Thai player 3-0 in the final.
In the MS7, Kim Yong Rok beatJapanese and Chinese players in the quarter finals and semifinals. He defeateda player of China’s Hong Kong 3-1 in the final and won a gold medal.
Meanwhile, Jon Ju Hyon and KimYong Rok finished runners-up in the MD14.
The players and coaches who exaltedthe honour of the country were greeted at Pyongyang Railway Station by Jon CholHi, chairman of the Central Committee of the Korean Federation for theProtection of the Disabled, officials concerned and families.
Members of the Korea SportsAssociation of the Disabled congratulated the players and coaches on theirsuccesses in the international event, putting garlands around their necks andpresenting bouquets to them.
