The admirablewomen footballers of the DPRK set several new records in the 2025 FIFA U-17Women's World Cup finals held in Morocco by fully displayinghigh sport techniques they had practised in ordinary times, surprising soccer expertsand fans.
The DPRKwomen’s football team won every match in the event to demonstrate its power asa strong soccer team in the world and lifted the fourth World Cup to shake the worldwomen’s football circles again.
Kim Won Simscored the fastest goal in the event.
In the matchwith the Japanese team, she made the first goal in just 38 seconds after thekickoff.
And the DPRKteam got 25 goals in the matches from the preliminaries to the final (3.57 goals per match on average)to become the team that scored the largest number of goals in a FIFA U-17Women's World Cup finals.
Inparticular, Yu Jong Hyang, who was awarded the Golden Ball, the most valuableplayer prize, and Adidas Golden Boot, the top scorer prize, made eight goals inthe event, the figure being equal to the top individual scoring record establishedin the successive FIFA U-17 Women's World Cups.
The DPRK team, which won the WorldCup by beating the Dutch team in the final, became theteam that had advanced to the final of the FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup fivetimes.
Earlier, it had played the 2008,2012, 2016 and 2024 FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup finals.
