Pak Song Jin was thechief coach who led the DPRK team to win 2025 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup.
He is a footballcoach of the April 25 Sports Team.
He became a coach ofwomen’s football in 2012 and contributed to the DPRK team’s winning the 2014AFC U-14 girls’ regional championships.
He played a decisiverole in making the DPRK women’s football team finish in the top three at the2019 AFC U-16 Women’s Championship and the 19th Asian Games.
After beingappointed chief coach of the DPRK team for the U-17 Women’s World Cup lastyear, Pak made great efforts to form the team properly first of all.
He tested dozens offootballers selected from each sports club through several stages to chooseover 20 from among them and made efforts to complete a firm game plan forindividual players to fully display their merits. He paid attention to ensuringthat all tactical training was done in an actual match atmosphere, includingmaking side and half-side breaks and scoring by central breaks, suddencounterattacks into the rear space of the opponent and tactical ploys instandard circumstances, and maximized the effectiveness of training bycombining intensity-centred physical training, psychological practice andintelligence development practice.
He also put greatefforts into improving the mental strength and teamwork of the players and thusimproved the team’s physical, technical and tactical abilities a level higherin a short span of time.
From the first ofthe group league matches of the 2025 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup held inMorocco, he skilfully led the players to stage continued attacks without givingthe opponents a moment to breathe while speeding up the game through teamworkand thus win all matches.
Though it was theirinternational debut, they won all the seven matches of the competition, scoring25 goals to fully demonstrate their ability as the strongest team in the world.
Pak is still makingincreasingly exact demands on himself for training more women footballers toadd lustre to the dignity of the country and contributing to the development offootball techniques.
