The respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un visited Kangbuk-ri inKumchon County one day in September 2020.
The seat village which had been hit by flood turned into a splendid world of happiness. As helooked round the place with pleasure, the General Secretary visited Kangbuk Senior Middle School.
Looking at the school risinghigh in the centre of thepicturesque village, he expressed satisfaction that the school was built welland there might be no such wonderful school in other rural villages.
In a brightlyfurnishedclassroom, he said that schools should be furnishedas much as this at least and gripped a chair for students to see if it was stout. Then he pointed to the necessity to bring up children in goodeducational conditions and environments and makethem grow up with high ideals in good educational conditions and environments andunder the supervision of their parents in families and their organizations at schools.
And he told officials that whereas farming is for preparing food for the whole year, education work is “talent farming”to shape the future of the country for the next 50 or 100 years and that, in thissense, a schoolis different from a farm field and shouldbe built in a prospective way looking far into the future, and called on them to direct efforts intoeducation with a correct view on younger generations.

It was an edifying instruction telling officials how toapproach education work with what kind of view on youngergenerations.
