The Pyongyang General Electric Cable Factory 326 is one of the top ten enterprises of 2024.

Last year the factory found the way to fully satisfy the increasing demand of different sectors of the national economy for various kinds of electric wires and cables in updating the level of all its technical equipment and set the goal of its modernization in a scientific way.

While trying hard to attain the goal, it paid close attention to bringing the enthusiasm and creativeness of the employees into full play and build up its own technical forces.

To this end, it made wide use of the rational methods to motivate the workers and technicians to join the technical innovation drive with high self-consciousness and keen interests by bringing about an improvement in selecting, training and managing the talents.

It regularly re-registered and estimated the talents according to their performance and ability and actively involved the workers in the work to introduce new techniques while providing them with necessary conditions and giving preferential treatment to exemplary ones.

Especially it examined and evaluated the innovative ideas and plans according to their contribution to revitalizing production and readjusting and reinforcing the equipment, not in a stereotyped manner.

This made the technicians and skilled workers steadily take an innovative approach.

They took active part in the drive while acquiring the knowledge related to technical innovations and inventions and their occupations at the sci-tech learning space.

As a result, they tried to save time to learn more and make something new, thus producing a number of innovative ideas.

Among the significant achievements they made for consolidating the production foundations are the establishment of the new line of manufacturing parts for cable shielding bronze band and the speed control of the large- and medium-sized rubber extruders.

The plastic insulation electric cable and plastic insulation wire produced by the factory were appreciated as best products in the country and won the December 15 Medal of Quality and certificate.

These products are being widely introduced to various sectors and units of the national economy for their low production cost and superior insulating property and electrical conductivity.

This year, too, the factory has introduced dozens of technical innovations and inventions to boost the production, while building up its own technical forces through the sci-tech learning space, study-while-you-work system and production practice.
