A national symposium in the field of printing industry took place at the Sci-Tech Complex on September 23 and 24 under the sponsorship of the Korean Printing Technology Association of the Central Committee of the General Federation of Science and Technology of Korea.
Present there were officials, teachers, researchers and postgraduate students of the Publication Guidance Bureau, the Minju Joson and Pyongyang University of Publishing and Printing Industry.
The symposium heard valuable papers conducive to consolidating the material and technical foundations of the printing industry by realizing the domestic production of equipment and raw and other materials. And there was a question-and-answer session related to them.
The researches into the establishment of a lithographic plate production line, the manufacture of auxiliary materials for lithography printing and water-base ink were highly appreciated as they are of high utility in realizing the modernization of printing process and solving the problems of raw and other materials.
During the symposium there was a lecture on the world trend of development in the sector of printing industry.
