In sports practice, speed strength is the ability to display the greatest strength in a very short time.
The ability to display explosive power in unit time is closely associated with various factors of muscle fibre in physical exercise, namely the contraction speed, mental state of a player and the strongest power that a player can display.
The training for improving speed strength is done according to sex, age, physical constitution and body condition and high-intensity exercise is the most important in it.
Sports scientists say that in this training special attention should be given to the relief of players from fatigue as well as their intake of protein.
As speed strength is closely related to genetic factor, it is very important to select players correctly.
During sporting activities, sometimes we can see some people who jump high though they are not so tall and are fast in instantaneous speed. In this case, we can say their speed strength is respectively high.
As a way to improve speed strength, those people who like to play volleyball or basketball can do the training of jumping high after jumping down from a certain height.
In the training it is important to fix the suitable height so that they would not hurt their knees and ankles, gradually increase the intensity of exercise and do enough warm-up and cool down exercises.
